start   發(fā)生；生（火）
start  的基本意思是“從靜止狀態(tài)轉(zhuǎn)移到運動狀態(tài)”，可指工作、活動等的開始；戰(zhàn)爭、火災(zāi)等的發(fā)生；也可指人開始工作，著手某項活動等；還可指人、事物使某事情發(fā)生或引起某事情。
eg.It started to rain.
下起雨來了。
eg.I used to start work at 9 o'clock every day.
我過去常在每天9:00開始工作。
eg.We are just about to start.
我們正要出發(fā)。
eg.She started at the sound of my voice.
她聽到了我的聲音，驀地一驚。
careful  小心的‘謹慎的
adj. 小心的，仔細的（care關(guān)心；撫愛+ful有...的→adj.小心的，仔細的）
eg.Please listen carefully.
請仔細聽。
eg.She put the glass down carefully.
她小心翼翼地放下玻璃杯。
eg.Drive carefully.
小心開車。
smoke  吸煙
eg.The fireplace smokes badly.
這壁爐冒煙太多。
eg.Do you smoke?
你抽煙嗎？
eg.He never smokes.
他從不抽煙。
campfire  營火；篝火
eg.You have to make a campfire.
你們必須生火。
eg.We lit a campfire during the night.
我們在晚上燒了一個營火。
eg.The campfire illuminated the dark sky.
營火點亮了夜空。
match  火柴
match 作“火柴”解，既可作可數(shù)名詞，也可作不可數(shù)名詞?！耙桓鸩瘛笨烧fa match,但“一盒火柴”要說a box of matches.
eg.Don't strike a match if you smell gas.
如果聞到煤氣味，千萬不要劃火柴。
eg.It's very dark here,will you light a match?
這里很暗，你點根火柴好嗎？
eg.He struck the match twice,but it couldn't burn.
他擦了兩次火柴，可是點不著。
eg.I want to but a box of matches.
我想買盒火柴。
Don't =do not 不要 (do not 的常用口語形式）

safety  安全  n.(名詞）
safety  ”安全，平安“，指遠離危險的威脅而處于不受傷害的狀態(tài)。引申可指”平安地帶“。
safety  多用作不可數(shù)名詞，常用語in safety或with safety短語中。
eg.A bank assures safety for your money.
銀行保證你的存款安全。
eg.We're keeping you here for your own safety.
我們讓你呆在這里是為了你自身的安全。
eg.It's very useful to teach children about fire safety.
把用火安全常識教給孩子們是非常有用的。
